Service Description

Join Krissi and Drew for an evening of deep relaxation in support of St Mary’s Hospice (Birmingham Hospice). This donation-based event will take place in the Church at The Hub, Hazelwell in Kings Heath, with all profits donated to the hospice, who cared for our families with great compassion during times of loss. We are honoured to give something back. We are offering compassion based places to St Mary's Hospice Nurses as well as those who would benefit from extra support. Please get in touch and we will send you a discount code to book your spot for free! Please bring your own mat, eye pillows, cushions, blankets, water & whatever else you may need to soften into this restful sound journey. Sound healing offers a place for soft awareness whilst the body can deeply rest. In a world that constantly demands our attention, one of the greatest gifts of a Sound Bath is permission to simply lie down, close your eyes and receive. Modern research suggests that sound-based practices can help shift the nervous system toward a more relaxed state, supporting reduced stress, lower heart rate, decreased muscle tension, improved sleep quality and an overall enhanced sense of wellbeing. Many people also report greater mental clarity, emotional release and a deeper connection with themselves. Humans have been using sound therapeutically for thousands of years. Chanting, drumming, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs and other vocal practices like Kirtan. In the Yoga world there exists Nada Yoga – which uses sound, internal and external, as a meditative bridge to focus the awareness and reach higher levels of consciousness. As the mind becomes quieter and the body softens, the nervous system has an opportunity to shift from "doing" into "being". This creates the conditions needed for deep rest, recovery and regeneration – homeostasis.
